Over the last several years there has been a huge demand in gold, while silver has remained in second place. The popularity of gold is not just clear to be seen with expensive 24 carat jewellery; you can see it in high street fashion stores, but it looks as though silver is making a return.

There is a wider range of silver jewellery in many fashion stores, while more top branded watches have been released by some of the leading manufacturers. Bright gold was clear to be seen last summer but silver jewellery with stones is definitely in right now.

Silver has represented second place for years, but on the fashion scene, it looks as though it’s quietly claiming first place, and it’s the same for men and women. Big gold chunky watches, necklaces and bracelets have been tucked away, while dainty silver jewellery has returned once more.
